ヘルシング機関（大英帝国王立国教騎士団）
大英帝国の宗教的、オカルト的な問題を秘密裏に解決し、敵対勢力、
および反キリストのフリークスに対抗するためにプロテスタント教会、 
英国国教会および王室が作り上げた特務機関である。
現機関長は、サー・インテグラル・ウィンゲーツ・ヘルシング。
その起源はおよそ1 0 0年前に遡り、同機関設立の影には代々、
吸血鬼討伐をその使命としてきた一族、
ヘルシング家初代当主へルシング卿が深く関与していると言われている。
［インテグラ］
本名サー・インテグラル・ウィンゲーツ・ヘルシング。ヘルシング 機関機関長。
先代ヘルシング卿の死後幼くして王立国教騎士団の全ての権限を継続した。
どのような状況下においても、常に大局を観る目を忘れず沈着冷静な指示を部下に下す。
また、必要とあらば、自ら武器をとり最前線に出向く事も辞さない、鉄の女。
…と、思いきや意外に激情家な部分も。表には出さないが非常に 部下思いのである。
宗教学者であり、魔術方面の知識にも明るい。
［アーカード］
ヘルシング機関の対フリークス専門"ゴミ処理(殺し)屋"として同族を狩り続けている吸血鬼。
銀製弾丸をこめた大型拳銃を操り、敵を粉砕するのが基本的な戦闘方法だが、
徒手空拳での闘いにおいても、持前の怪力で敵を圧倒する。
恐るべき不死性を誇り、無数の弾丸で全身を蜂の巣にされようがクビを切り落とされようが、 
身体を再構成して復活を果たす。ヘルシング機関長インテグラに 絶対の忠誠を誓っている。




Hellsing
The Hellsing anime series is based upon the manga series of the same name by Kouta Hirano. 
The manga is published by Monthly Young King Ours and Shonen Gahosha Co., LTD. 
The series was produced in Japan by Studio Gonzo and licensed to Pioneer Entertainment (USA) Inc. for American release.
Hellsing was designed as a limited run series. 
13 episodes in length, it originally aired weekly on Fuji Television starting October 10,2001 
in the 2:25 AM to 2:50 AM timeslot due to the shows violent content and adult themes. 
The first volume (Episodes 1-3) was released in North America in July 2002 on DVD with both dubbed and subtitled options. 
This book deals with characters, world and story presented in the first six episodes.
 Later episodes and updates to the series will follow in a second book.
Hellsing is set in a horrific version of the modem world where undead walk the night in search of blood and power. 
The time frame is cunent-day England, with a focus on London. 
The primary emphasis of the series is the Hellsing Organization 
— a secret group working with the English government to keep the undead menace in hand.
The primary character of the series is Arucard. a supposedly ancient vampire who works with 
the Hellsing Organization to destroy lesser members of his own kind. 
His name is a veiled reference to Dracula, the vampire from Bram Stokers novel of the same name, published in 1897.
